Kyuwon received the Best Paper Award for the study, "Examining the Effects of Participation and Functional Roles of LLM-Based Conversational Agents in Decision-Making on Controversial Issues." This study investigated how different roles performed by LLM-based conversational agents influence discussion processes and the quality of decisions in collaborative decision-making contexts. The findings demonstrated the educational potential of AI agents and showed that peer-role agents can go beyond simply providing information to facilitate learner interaction and deliberative engagement. The study also offers implications for the design of collaborative learning and decision-support systems powered by generative AI.
